Jammer History

In 1996, founder, lead vocalist & bass player, Mark Miller, was asked to put together a band to play at a local hog roast/barn dance.  A group of musicians Mark had been in bands with in years past all agreed to join in for what was to be a 'one time' event.  The band needed a name for the promotion of the event, so the  group called themselves "The Barn Jammers".  The event and band were both very much appreciated by all that attended and soon the phone began to ring with requests to hire the 'one time' band.  The Barn Jammers music consisted of Country to Classic Rock.  As the band evolved, the genre moved towards more of a Southern Rock and Classic Rock genre.  By 1999 the band changed the name to Jammer with the mantra of 'Pure Rock that Rocks'.

Over the past 25 years, musicians band brothers and one sister, have come and gone but all have remained friends as they went their own way. As we turn the calendar to 2024, the latest version of Jammer is ready to play their music wherever and whenever needed playing everything from Boston to ZZ Top.
The 2024 version of Jammer features:
  • Mark Miller - Lead Vocal / Bass Guitar
  • John Sullivan - Drums
  • Kurt Schabacker - Lead Guitar / Back Up Vocals
  • Ron Taylor - Lead Guitar / Back Up Vocals
